I started reviewing books for an online arts & entertainment magazine (Press+1) in university, and eventually became Books Editor for the site. It was an amazing opportunity for me to learn the ropes of book reviewing, and I loved every moment of it. I later decided to start my own blog devoted exclusively to books –...

Anoka County Writers?

I'm just checking out the possibility of creating a writers' support group -- live, not online -- in Anoka County. This would be for adults, fiction or non-fiction. The idea would be to bring samples of one's writing to a meeting place, such as one of the libraries, then share it and get feedback. Would also be a good place to discuss books or writers that you may feel like sharing. Writers have unique social/professional needs/backgrounds which could make such a group not only interesting but valuable. Drop me a line and let me know if you have any interest in such a group.

Terrific trans bibliography now online!

In addition to the children's books, he wrote many other non-fiction books on faith for adults. He was a member of the Church of England and a college professor as well as author and lecturer. A cool link is
an educator trained in the art of deductive reasoning, his writing was and is captivating reading for "the thinking man" who seeks understanding of spirituality through his mind and his heart. His own faith was tested when, after the death of his wife, he called upon his own previous arguments to sustain him - he shares these experiences in his later work quite touchingly, I thought.
