Keep track of your summer adventures! When you complete a task in the book, glue or tape the badge to the page and write a little bit about what you did.
Instructions using staples:

- Fold the cover of the book in half so the illustration is on the outside. Fold each page of the book in half so the illustration is on the inside. Keeping the pages folded, arrange them so they are in order from one to five.
- Place your stack of pages inside the cover and staple along the spine of your book. Make sure that each page is in the staple line before you staple it.

- Spread glue over the white side facing up of page 4. Line up page 3 and press down firmly. Repeat this with the rest of the pages.
- Now you should have a stack of pages glued together back to front. Last, spread glue over the inside of the cover, leaving a quarter-inch margin all the way around glue-free. Place your pages inside the cover and smooth all over, gluing the pages in place.

Tips for Disneyland
2008-01-07 20:26:15 by jcasetnlIf you go to Disney in LA, there is a second park called California Adventure. I would recommend a day at each, so a 2-day park hopper pass.
I can't stress enough, the key to disneyland is to go when other people don't. One day at disney on a slow day is worth 10 days when it is jammed with 100k+ people. If you go during the peak summer season or holiday weekends, you will be miserable. The best "off seasons" are when kids are in school and MIDWEEK, and not on a weekend holiday.
If you book your flight and hotel midweek (tue-wed-thur) in the off-peak season, you will experience the shortest lines, best hotel rates and cheapest flights

Yann Martel's imaginative and unforgettable Life of Pi is a magical reading experience, an endless blue expanse of storytelling about adventure, survival, and ultimately, faith. The precocious son of a zookeeper, 16-year-old Pi Patel is raised in Pondicherry, India, where he tries on various faiths for size, attracting "religions the way a dog attracts fleas." Planning a move to Canada, his father packs up the family and their menagerie and they hitch a ride on an enormous freighter. After a harrowing shipwreck, Pi finds himself adrift in the Pacific Ocean, trapped on a 26-foot lifeboat with a wounded zebra, a spotted hyena, a seasick orangutan, and a 450-pound Bengal tiger named Richard Parker ("His head was the size and color of the lifebuoy, with...
We usually go every year. Here is what we have
2008-06-16 20:27:09 by threesixtyLearned over the years:
Stay at a hotel across the street. Even if you pay a little extra you need this. They get tired halfway through the day and if your hotel is even a "block" away its too far because those hotel blocks are about a half a mile long. no joke. (we stay at the Desert Inn and if you book in advance the rooms are only $65-$75 a night)
Stay at a hotel that has a small fridge and microwave. Disney food is expensive. There is a Food for less about a mile from hotel row and if you drive go there and stock up on microwavable foods and fruit and snacks
