"Is Your Mama A Llama?", written by Deborah Guarino and illustrated by Steven Kellogg, is a favorite picture book for toddlers, preschoolers and beginning readers. In this popular board book, a baby llama asks each of his animal friends the question "Is your mama a llama?". His friends then give a short description of their mamas. Upon turning a page, children can find out what type of animals they are. The rhyming story is appealing to young readers, as are the illustrations by Steven Kellogg.

This Caldecott Medal winner is a great book for preschoolers, kindergarteners and beginning readers.

When Harry returns home, his family doesn't recognize this black dog with white spots. Harry tries every trick he can do to show them he is Harry, to no avail. Finally, the dirty dog jumps into the bathtub and begs for a bath. Harry is recognized after he becomes a white dog with black spots again. Margaret Bloy Graham's expressive illustrations depict a lovable character that children can identify with. Harry the Dirty Dog is a great book for toddlers and preschoolers.

"Helen Oxenbury's Big Baby Book" is an oversize board book written and illustrated by Helen Oxenbury, who has produced many wonderful picture books for babies. "Big Baby Book" is composed of five sections: "I Touch", "I See", "I Can", "I Hear" and "I am". The author uses single words and soft illustrations that show things that interest babies and things that babies like to do.

It's sad

That our culture decides to brainwash and dumb down young people so that we can be more easily controlled as adults instead of truly educating us on the facts of history and human potential. It seems that we're robbing ourselves as a race.
As for "The DaVinci Code", it's a story based on a couple books that could be seen as more valid- "The Templar Revelation" and "The Holy Blood and The Holy Grail". Dan Brown actually lost a lawsuit against the authors of "Templar Revelation" because he failed to give them credit when he ripped off all their research and made a fictional story from it
